PVD Coating Introduction

Enijor has a complete and standardized coating process, which mainly includes the following steps: IQC, polishing, loading, cleaning, put in, PVD, inspection, unloading, packing, and final inspection.

What is PVD coating?

Physical vapor deposition (PVD coating) also known as physical vapor transport (PVT), is a vacuum deposition method that produces thin films and coatings. The most common PVD coating processes are sputtering and evaporation. Enijor has applied this technology to 3C electronics, automobiles, medical tools, and hardware accessories through PVD coating. Enijor specializes in the application of vacuum coating in 3C electronics, including mobile phones, computers, smart bracelets, and headphones accessories.

Enijor’s PVD coating mainly has two forms, decorative film, and functional film. Decorative film products have a wide variety of colors, including black, silver, gold, blue, green, color, etc. At the same time, they are customization and can be adjusted according to customer needs. For the functional film, Enijor has Sophisticated testing equipment especially the nano-coating hardness measurement instrument by Anton Paar, Germany, which helps Enijor to complete PVD coatings in Vicker Hardness over 2250 HV.

Why PVD coating?

PVD coating has three main advantages over other technologies in terms of performance, coating material selection, and environmental protection.

First of all, in terms of performance, PVD coatings are often harder and more resistant to corrosion than electroplating processes. Most coatings have high temperature and good impact strength, excellent abrasion resistance and are very durable.

Second, PVD coating technology enables the use of virtually any type of inorganic and some organic coating materials on equally diverse substrates and surfaces using a variety of finishes.

Third, PVD coating technology is a more environmentally-friendly choice. PVD coatings as an environmentally clean alternative to Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) coating. Compared with CVD coating, PVD coating will not produce waste gas and wastewater.

How does PVD coating works?

Enijor has a complete and standardized coating process, which mainly includes the following steps: IQC, polishing, loading, cleaning, put in, PVD, inspection, unloading, packing, and final inspection. Details can be found in the "PVD coating process" section under the “Service Center” button in the navigation bar.
